5 Quick Fitness Tips

1.Keep Good Food Close! Get your laziness to work in your favour! Keep good healthy food an arms reach away. Have a fruit bowl on the side at home or on your desk at work!

2. Be a Goal Getter! So many people start their fitness journey without setting and end date or realistic goal. You will need targets to keep yourself motivated, especially for situations when it would be easy for you to make a bad decision. Set a finish date that you are confident you can hit, 100%. There will be times where you’ll be tempted to go back into old habits - having a goal with smaller milestones along the way can help keep you on track!

3. Record/Track What You Eat! Tracking your food is a great way for you to see how many calories you’re consuming. MyFitnessPal app is perfect for this! This will also allow you to see if you’re consuming more calories than your body requires - thus being in a calorie surplus and gaining weight. To get an close estimate to what your daily calories should be,

4. Pictures!!!! It’s perfectly fine and I do recommend it - taking your weight (on digital scales) and measurements, once a week. Preferably on a Monday morning, upon waking up, after the toilet and before food/drink. Also, try to stick to the same day/time each week! On to pictures! Pictures are a fantastic way for you to see the changes in your own body. Plus, it’ll also give you a timeline to, and for you to look back and see how far you’ve already come on your fitness journey.

5. Cupboard Overhaul! You know the foods you should be avoiding and 9 times out of 10, these foods are stacked up in your cupboards. Before you start your fitness journey, you will need to empty all the ‘crap’ from your cupboards, do not give yourself unnecessary temptations - we all know if you get home late from work, these bad foods seem so much more appealing but if they’re not there then you are more likely to make a healthier choice!
