HM Visits: Bad Egg - Boozy Bottomless Brunch

The London lifestyle means 3 things; midweek drinks, Friday & Saturday night plans and of course BRUNCH! Have you met a Londoner that doesn't have brunch at least once a month? No me neither! The real question is where is the place to go, where do you get the full brunch experience, with great food, a great vibe and of course you want it to be bottomless... the answer? Bad Egg.

We visited Bad Egg City point to see what the fuss was all about. Dubbed London's best brunch we wanted to see if the boozy brunch establishment lived up to the hype.

Located at City Point, Bad Egg is a very warm and welcoming restaurant. The venue isn't huge but big enough to give everyone their own space without leaving you shouting across the table for your friends to hear you. With different style of seating from cushioned benches to high tables it's perfect for that double date or for the gang getting together for a much needed catch up. Offering such a warm and casual vibe the venue and the décor certainly makes you feel at home. This is accompanied with bubbly staff. We, like other diners were greeted at the door by a very smiley manager who took us through to our table and explained how our 2 hour bottomless brunch would work. Throughout our visit the team ensure our glasses were never empty with regular top ups and table checks to make sure we were enjoying our visit.

As mentioned above we had the 'boozy' bottomless brunch which enables you to stay for 2 hours, where you are offered 2 courses of food and an unlimited supply of Prosecco, Bloody Mary & Mimosa (virgin option available). During our visit we feasted on the Egg & Sausage Muffin, Eggs Benedict, Bacon and Maple topped Pancakes and Blueberry Jam & cream topped pancakes and there was nothing we could fault. One thing that truly stood out for me was the ham hock in the Eggs Benedict, so much flavour and great taste perfectly cooked. I wasn't expecting this quality of food for a 'Bottomless brunch' but Bad Egg had over exceeded my expectations.

I was pleasantly surprised that Bad Egg lived up to the hype, sometimes you can find some places are over sold and upon visit don't live up to expectations, this is not the case with Bad Egg, they exceeded the hype that they have set around themselves. A Great venue and is certainly one of the top places to go for brunch in London!
