Bluebird Chelsea, the legendary King’s Road venue that effortlessly blends restaurant, bar and café culture, has unveiled a stunning new summer greenhouse—brought to life in partnership with the botanical artisans of June In March. Situated at the entrance to Bluebird’s iconic terrace, this vibrant glasshouse offers guests a daily changing display of fresh flowers and herbs, ready to be admired and purchased.

This latest addition is a subtle nod to Bluebird’s rich heritage. Once Blue Bird Motors, the space was transformed in 1994 into a sprawling gastrodome complete with an outdoor plant and flower market—a tradition that lives on in this contemporary floral retreat.

More than just a visual spectacle, the June In March greenhouse invites guests to immerse themselves in the season’s best blooms. From classic favourites like Hydrangeas, Dahlias and Peonies to rare floral gems, the selection encourages creativity—whether you’re curating a show-stopping bouquet or seeking fresh garden ingredients to elevate your cooking.

To celebrate this union of florals and flavours, Bluebird’s bar manager has crafted the exclusive Bloom & Brew cocktail. This botanical concoction balances the distinctive notes of Hendrick’s Gin with Bellamie cherry aperitif and Lillet Blanc, uplifted by lemon juice and a whisper of rose syrup. The final touch is a garnish of Blue Cornflower, handpicked straight from the greenhouse itself.

Bluebird Chelsea continues to champion seasonal artistry with plans to grow herbs and edible flowers on site, soon to feature in its evolving menu. This summer, visitors can expect a feast for all senses—a blend of exquisite hospitality, seasonal flavours and the most beautiful floral arrangements courtesy of June In March.
