At London Fashion Week A/W26, Claudia Wang unveiled a presentation that felt less like a traditional runway and more like stepping into a living, breathing dream. Set among sculptural mounds of plush pillows wrapped in custom prints, the show blurred the boundary between fantasy and fashion, inviting audiences into an intimate, digitally infused fairytale.
From the first look, Wang established a world shaped by softness, imagination, and emotional nuance. Models emerged through an ethereal landscape that evoked both childhood comfort and virtual escapism. The setting itself became part of the narrative, reinforcing the idea that this collection was not simply worn, but experienced.

Where Digital Culture Meets Romance
Deeply inspired by online aesthetics and the visual language of the virtual world, Wang translated screen-based creativity into tactile, romantic garments. Hand-drawn unicorn illustrations appeared alongside AI-generated lace motifs and bow details, creating a dialogue between the handmade and the technologically produced.
Botanical and animal-inspired prints, combined with a fresh, pastel-led colour palette, formed a visual identity that balanced playfulness with refinement. The result was a collection that felt simultaneously whimsical and sophisticated, rooted in contemporary digital culture while remaining emotionally resonant.
Intimacy Reimagined Through Silhouette
The A/W26 silhouettes were deliberately relaxed and fluid. Drawing on the language of sleepwear, robes, and loungewear, Wang reinterpreted
traditionally private garments as expressive public statements.
Soft draping, loose tailoring, and gentle layering transformed intimate forms into modern fashion pieces that spoke of vulnerability, confidence, and self-awareness. These were clothes designed not to perform for attention, but to reflect inner worlds and personal narratives.
More than a seasonal collection, Wang’s presentation functioned as a complete universe. Each garment, print, and staging element carried symbolic meaning, forming coded messages for a generation that exists between physical reality and digital identity.
This approach continues to define her practice: fashion as storytelling, design as emotional language. For those who live partly online and fully in their imagination, Wang’s work offers both reflection and refuge.

A/W26: Fashion as Emotional Architecture
With her Digital Fairytale, Claudia Wang reaffirmed her position as a designer who treats fashion as a form of world-building. A/W26 was poetic without being fragile, playful without being superficial, and deeply contemporary without losing warmth.
It was a reminder that in an age of endless screens and scrolling, clothing can still be a space for dreaming, connection, and quiet self-expression.
