Dr Rana Al Falaki returns to Hinton Magazine with the same unmistakable clarity and presence that defined our last conversation, yet this time there is a new energy about her. A year of relentless movement has reshaped her world. She has launched a national wellbeing platform for the entire dental profession, created the NAIL IT podcast and transformational events, built programmes that are already changing leadership culture, and stepped onto stages across the country speaking about everything from human due diligence to the power of wellbeing intelligence. And now she brings all that momentum into one defining moment: the release of her new book NAIL IT Leadership.

Dr Rana Al Falaki

If last year was about expansion, this year is about precision. Her philosophy has deepened, her message has sharpened, and her mission has become impossible to ignore. What follows is an intimate and compelling conversation with a woman who leads with science, soul and spirit in equal measure, revealing the lessons, breakthroughs and rituals that have driven her forward. It is a portrait of a leader who is not only teaching the future of performance but living it.

A year on from our last conversation, how does it feel to return with a book that now has a release date and a clearer sense of its purpose?

Honestly? A mixture of pride, gratitude, and a bit of “finally!”.

This past year has been non-stop. We launched the groundbreaking national wellbeing platform for the entire dental profession  - something very close to my heart, especially with burnout rates now above 86%. It doesn’t just signpost support; it actually teaches, offering practical wellbeing hacks from breathwork to nutrition.

We completed the online NAIL-IT programme, launched our one-day transformational events, stepped onto endless stages talking about everything from human due diligence to WI (Wellbeing Intelligence) vs AI, and added the NAIL-IT Podcast to the mix  - a place for fun, punchy, motivating messages.

So coming back a year later with a finished book that has a release date feels like bringing all of that momentum into one place. The purpose is clearer than ever:helping people lead better, live fully, laugh more -  and do it without burning out.

Since we last spoke, how has the NAIL-IT philosophy grown or evolved in ways you did not expect?

I’ve discovered just how deep and versatile it really is.

Every time I teach it, coach with it, or write about it, I find another layer. Every component, every key, has the power to either reduce stress or magnify success. It’s a genuine system for leadership, living, and laughing more.

What I’ve witnessed most this year is seeing how fluidly it applies in different arenas: corporate, clinical, entrepreneurial, family life, personal wellbeing. It keeps expanding as people use it  - because at its core, it’s a human system. And humans are wonderfully complex.

With your book NAIL-IT Leadership: Your Blueprint to Optimal Performance launching on 28th February, what do you hope readers experience in those first moments when they hold it for themselves?

I hope they pause, exhale, and feel a ripple of possibility.

I want that first moment to feel like holding a friend, or even a mirror, that reflects back their incredible potential. The book is designed not to lecture but to guide. To inform and highlight. To empower.

My wish is that readers sense immediately that this is the blueprint they've been craving, the solution they needed - something practical, compassionate, and truly usable in real life.

Dr Rana Al Falaki

Over the past twelve months, what personal truth about balance or fulfilment has become impossible for you to ignore?

That balance isn’t something you tick off a list; it’s something you live.

This year I worked harder than ever (I say that every year!), all while supporting two of my children through major academic milestones. It forced me to embody my own teachings. I had to anchor myself in purpose, prioritise with integrity, and weave in self-care and fun as non-negotiables.

Fulfilment came when I honoured my needs and values, not when everything was perfectly balanced, but when I was aligned.

With the world becoming increasingly unpredictable, how have recent pressures shaped the direction of your coaching and your approach to leadership?

They’ve made me double down on what truly matters: energy, intention, and adaptability.

The noise in the world is getting louder; people need frameworks, not fluff. So my coaching has become even more grounded in WI (Wellbeing Intelligence) and in helping leaders make decisions from intuition, clarity, and alignment rather than fear or fatigue.

Unpredictability has reinforced one truth: if you can lead yourself, you can lead anything.

When you reflect on the clients you have guided this year, which transformation stands out as the strongest example of NAIL-IT in action?

Two standouts - both powerful in different ways.

First, a leadership team I worked with. The company thought they wanted team building, yet I always start with science-backed assessments to provide data.  I was able to identify the underlying needs and weaknesses in the team and created a 2-day training program for them with NAIL-IT approach. We reshaped their communication, culture, and performance, all the while having fun, integrating and feeling energised. Within weeks, productivity soared, accountability strengthened, creativity returned, and the CEO was genuinely stunned at the measurable shift. Moreso, they could relax and rely more on their team and reduce their stress.

Another was a massive resilience and wellbeing training for 80 young professionals. They arrived tired, resistant, and sceptical… and left energised, united, and committed to their own wellbeing and performance. Seeing every single person make a personal commitment to change - that’s the epitome of ‘They literally NAILed-IT.’

As you prepare your pre-sale page, what feeling do you most want readers to walk away with when they land on it for the first time?

I want them to feel energised, inspired, and honestly a bit impatient to get their hands on the book!

The pre-sale page isn’t just a shopfront; it’s part of the experience. They’ll see the bonuses, the optimal performance formulas and equations, the life-altering quotes, videos, podcast clips, and instant tools to get them started.

I want them to feel the uniqueness of this journey and think,“This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for.”

Dr Rana Al Falaki

You often stress the power of fun in performance. How has your own relationship with joy shifted during this demanding year of creation?

Fun has become my fuel, not an optional extra.

This year taught me that my daily rituals - gratitude journalling, free-flow writing, manifestation dancing in the morning, and deep meditation  - aren’t cute habits. They’re essential. When I skipped them, I felt edgy, ungrounded, slightly off-centre.

When I engaged in them, joy felt natural, even in chaos. True joy became peace, presence, and a sense of “I’ve got this,” no matter how much was on my plate.

Self-leadership remains central to your work. What aspect of it do you believe people are craving most right now?

There is so much I can say about self-leadership and the pillars of the NAIL-IT system are all key: Needs, Attitude, Integrity, Limitlessness, Intuition and Tangibility.  If I narrow it to two areas, I sense people are really craving right now I would say intuition and identity.

People are exhausted from making decisions with their minds while ignoring their inner truth. Decision fatigue kicks in when you are so in your head or heart in decision making- while intuition really is the most powerful secret sauce and can be trained.

They’re tired of performing versions of themselves that no longer fit – that is exhausting and just attracts environments and people that will drain them more.

Self-leadership gives them permission to realign, to trust themselves, to reclaim who they are, and to lead from that place instead of from fear, pressure, or expectations.

In your own journey this year, where did you surprise yourself and how has that moment shaped the way you intend to show up moving forward?

I surprised myself with how deeply I leaned into learning again.

Because I can’t attend my own events (which I would love to!), I invested in advanced meditation retreats and personal development days. It reminded me how powerful it is to be a student, and how much nourishment there is in receiving, not just giving.

Moving forward, I’m committed to always learning. Because the moment you think you’ve learnt all your lessons, life becomes empty. Growth is living.

Dr Rana Al Falaki

As conversations around resilience and wellbeing continue to deepen, what do you feel people are still searching for that NAIL-IT is uniquely placed to deliver?

NAIL-IT teaches you how to create success that recharges, not depletes your energy. It shows you how you don’t have to step back and limit yourself – you can maintain high levels of success, and high performance without burning out, and if you are returning form burnout, that you can still have everything you want – you just have to find another way – the NAIL-IT way.

People are searching for something that meets them where they are - something practical, compassionate, and doable.  I always ensure anything I teach is practical – I don’t like fluff or vagueness.

NAIL-IT bridges the gap between knowing what to do and actually being able to do it. It's a system that supports every layer of a person: their needs, their mindset, their integrity, their limitless potential, their intuition, and the tangible steps to bring it all to life.

With your book launch approaching and new programmes emerging, what vision is carrying you into the next year and what do you hope readers remember long after the final page?

The vision for the year ahead feels both expansive and beautifully grounded. Everything I’m building sits on the foundations of three things:the book launch, the NAIL-IT Roadshow, and an adventure-based NAIL-IT retreat in the second half of the year.

The retreat is going to be something very special. It’s designed around finding comfort in discomfort, ease in the dis-ease, and not just fulfilment but fun-filment. It’s about giving people tools that don’t just make them feel better for a day but change the way they lead their lives.

What I really want to carry into the next year is the idea that transformation doesn’t have to be heavy. It can be dynamic, playful, energising, adventurous. We can do deep work and still laugh, breathe, explore, and enjoy the process.

And what do I hope readers remember long after the final page? That they already have everything they need inside them. The book simply reconnects them to it. I hope they walk away knowing how to create energy, clarity, purpose, and joy on demand. And I hope they remember that life isn’t just about achievement… it’s about fun-filment.

I know the book will encourage you to live with more courage, more intention, more curiosity and give you the tools to change your life from the inside out.   It will turn you from a human Do-ing - a conveyor belt of endless and exhausting tasks - into a Human Be-ing – where you can regenerate you own energy and feel that you have truly NAILed-IT!

Dr Rana Al Falaki

As Dr Rana Al Falaki steps into the next chapter of her journey, she does so with a rare blend of confidence and curiosity. Her book, her programmes and her growing body of work all carry a single promise: success does not need to drain you. It can replenish you. It can elevate your energy, deepen your intuition, and reconnect you with who you truly are.

She reminds us that balance is lived rather than achieved, that joy is a form of discipline, and that self leadership begins with identity and intention. Her stories of transformation, from leadership teams to young professionals, show the NAIL IT system not as theory but as a blueprint for real, measurable change.

As she looks ahead to her roadshow and her adventure based retreat, her vision is clear. Transformation should feel dynamic, playful and expansive. It should meet people where they are and give them tools that last long after the moment ends.

What she hopes readers carry with them is simple yet profound. Everything they need is already within them. The book is the reminder. The work is the reconnection. And the reward is the shift from human doing to human being. Dr Rana Al Falaki has never been more certain of her purpose, and this interview shows a leader who has truly NAILed IT.
