The clothes someone wears can tell you a lot about the person, it can tell you what type of job they have, whether their a simple lifestyle kinda person or whether they like the loud life it really is one of the first impressions you give to someone who meets you for the first time. Fashion Brand Giglio Tirgrati know this and they aim to give everyone their own identity through their mission of, 'Creating Unique Identities Through Sustainability, Promoting Authenticity'.

The Milan based fashion brand is a new one on the scene, launched in 2020 by Carlotta Orlando. The idea came in 2019 when Orlando told us she, 'decided to dedicate herself to do something new and different for the young Milanese community and started painting on vintage clothes for her friends and family', this was to, 'creating unique personalized pieces'.

Speaking to founer Carlotta in more detail as to why she decided to launch her own label she told us, 'Giglio Tigrato was created as a passion for painting and awareness for the fashion industry's waste, that turned into a real project to fight against fashion homologation and consumerism'. Calotta told us she launched the brand to tackle the rapidly growing industry of fast fashion ,'Giglio Tigrato comes from the idea of going against the industrial overproduction that characterizes the fashion world, it feels the need to do something to reduce humans impact on the planet, it wants to prove how vintage clothes and waste materials can be seen as new and different by combining creativity and style.'

There are a few different aspects to Giglio Tigrato, they cover these in thier collections; Vintage and Upcycling. Upcycling is certainly something more brands are aiming to do and consumers are loving it! Bringing back some iconic past pieces wkith a twist of 2021 style.

Being such a new brand we wanted to know what the aim was, whats the ambition for the brand was and Carlotta told us, 'Giglio Tigrato has the ambition to break the fashion conventions of seasonality, gender and mass production and consumption, it has no boundaries and promotes a strong ethics'.
