Why Ricky Gervais's 'After Life' is what we all need right now

Saturday Saw the return of Ricky Gervais in a new comedy to Netflix 'After Life'. Now there had been high expectations on this new series and its fair to say the comedy genius didn't let us down. The series follows a man called Tony (the character played by Gervais) after his wife has passed and the formerly nice guy decided to live his life by saying and doing what eve he fancies whoever it may hurt.

Again Gervais has created such a comical spectacle whilst bringing in your other emotions, as you are feeling sorry for this guy who has just lost his wife but you can't help but laugh at what he says and does, you also find yourself supporting what he does...

This series completely obliterates any sense of political correctness which is exactly what we all need right now, in a world that is overrun by everyone having to be politically correct Tony is who we all want to be at times, but also the person we don't dare to be incase it backfires.

You could look further into this series as Ricky Gervais is trying to show the effects of mental illness on men after the loss of a loved one you could.... or you could just enjoy the fantastic new series which is now available to watch on Netflix.

'After Life' has received positive responses all over the world with many comparing it to the much loved Ricky Gervais show 'Derek'.

Since the release of the series Rickey Gervais has taken to social media to thank his fans around the world; @Rickygervais: 'I obviously love all the 5 star reviews of #AfterLife from the posh papers, but i'm more moved by your lovely tweets about it. Thank you. '
