“Queen of Broadway” shows off comedy chops in autobiographical hit charting her journey from an 18-year-old ingenue to a recovering people pleaser with all of the missteps and marriages (three!) along the way. Her comedic take on everything from motherhood to perimenopause is not to be missed
“A masterclass in showbiz storytelling...This is a celebration of women, their struggles, and where vulnerability and glamour co-exist. The emotional resonance is undeniable.” - The List

“A supremely polished piece of musical comedy [from] Broadway royalty” - The Scotsman
Following a sold-out run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Tony Award-winning Broadway star Laura Benanti makes her London debut with her 5-star one-woman comedy show Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares at Underbelly Boulevard Soho on 2 September for two performances only.
Known for her dazzling leading-lady roles on Broadway and television, Benanti shows off a new side: serious comedy chops in her debut show that blends side-splitting storytelling with original songs.
Musical theatre fans familiar with Benanti’s Broadway performances, including Louise in Gypsy alongside Patty LuPone (for which Benanti won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical), Cinderella in Into The Woods alongside Vanessa Williams, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and Amalia in She Loves Me alongside Jane Krakowski, will get a special treat to see Benanti in such an intimate space, showcasing her star power and disarmingly funny personal side.
International audiences are no stranger to Benanti’s razor-sharp wit, with her iconic impression of Melania Trump immortalised as a recurring guest on the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Other major TV roles include multiple seasons of Nashville, Supergirl, Younger, Gossip Girl, and the second season of HBO drama The Gilded Age.
The New York Times Critics Pick, Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares, is a hilarious, heartfelt, and sometimes brutally honest autobiographical hit charting Benanti’s journey from an 18-year-old ingenue to a recovering people pleaser with all of the missteps and marriages (three!) along the way. Her comedic take on everything from motherhood to perimenopause is yet another star turn.
Laura Benanti said: ”This show is an utterly transparent, self-deprecating romp through my life as a pathological (and now recovering) people pleaser. During the show I discuss the ups and downs of my early career, my three (yes, THREE) marriages. Childbirth, raising children, perimenopause, and the journey from wide-eyed ingenue to grown-ass woman. It has been incredibly gratifying to receive so much positive feedback from such a wide variety of audience members: young women, their mothers and THEIR mothers, gay men (my favorite kind), and my personal favourite: boyfriends and husbands who were dragged to my show against their will and are now my ‘biggest fans.’ While the show features a handful of original songs (written with Todd Almond), it is not a musical. It is a comedy show with music (there’s a difference, I promise!)”
Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares was commissioned by Audible for an off-Broadway weekend premiere and live audio recording in Feb 2024. The sold out show was such a success with critics and audiences alike that it was given a full-length run at the Minetta Lane Theater in Spring 2024. After playing a sell-out run throughout August 2025 at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the show transfers direct to London to mark Benanti’s London debut. Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares is produced by Rachel Sussman, Jenny Gersten, Ashley Melone Mills, and Nick Mills with general management by Heather Shields of City Salt Theatricals.
