Ceramic Brussels, the city’s international fair dedicated entirely to ceramics, returns to the Tour & Taxis exhibition centre from January 21 to 25, 2026, marking its third edition. What began as a gathering of passionate galleries has grown into a showcase of nearly 200 artists from around the world, reflecting the versatility and enduring appeal of clay.

This year, Spain takes centre stage. Seven galleries from the country will present contemporary ceramic works, while French galleries MALA and Capazza spotlight Spanish masters including Picasso, Joan Serra, Mia Llauder, and Claudi Casanovas. Talks and panels will explore the vibrancy of Spain’s ceramic scene, creating a platform for dialogue and cross-cultural collaboration.

The fair also honours established voices in the medium. Guest of Honor Elmar Trenkwalder will unveil a sprawling solo exhibition at the fair’s entrance. Trenkwalder, who began as a painter, has spent over four decades transforming ceramics into monumental sculptures that fuse baroque, rococo, and Asian influences with remarkable virtuosity.

Alongside celebrated figures, Ceramic Brussels continues to champion emerging talent. The Art Prize 2026 will showcase ten rising artists, offering them exposure and the chance to join the global conversation on contemporary ceramics. Léonore Chastagner, last year’s Jury Prize winner, returns with a solo presentation exploring expectations linked to the feminine through a craft-based lens.

With exhibitions spanning solo and group presentations from galleries across Europe, Japan, the UAE, and beyond, the fair offers a truly global perspective. Visitors can engage with ceramics not only as a medium but as a space for experimentation, cultural dialogue, and creative expression.

For collectors, enthusiasts, and anyone intrigued by the alchemy of clay, Ceramic Brussels 2026 promises a journey through centuries of history, innovation, and artistry.
