Gyms around the country bring the work-outs to your home

With the out break of Covid-19 in the UK forcing the government to close gyms up and down the country, the gym owners are finding new ways they can keep their existing clients fit as well as offering the chance for people from anywhere in the UK to join in too. They are doing this by offering online live fitness classes, giving anyone who has a phone, laptop or smart TV the chance to tune in and join in the live fitness classes from where ever they are in lock-down.

On Gym in particular 'FitBase UK' have been offering 3 classes a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) with classes lasting around 45 minutes to an hour long.

(You can see their latest home work out below)

The current government advice says you should only be leaving your home for 4 reasons; shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible, one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household, any medical need, including to donate blood, avoid or escape risk of injury or harm, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person or travelling for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home (Source) but with gyms offering at home workout essentially this could eliminate one of these reasons to leave the home to help slow down and stop the spread of the global pandemic that is Covid-19.

Is this something gyms are going to have to do more often? Will it be a good idea to continue this live workout sessions when this pandemic is over? All we know for certain is that right now its the next best thing to actually going to the gym so get yourself signed up - you never know, if the lock-down finishes before the summer you may have these guys to thank for that summer body.
