HM Visits: Hide

As part of our search to find the best things to do in London we visited one of its treasures. Hide restaurant, Mayfair. The venue has 3 floors plus 5 private dining rooms. The Floors are above, ground and below. During our visit we requested upper. The upper floor boasts beautiful views of Green Park which is just across the road from the restaurant.

During our visit we enjoyed the Lunch Menu. As standard with the lunch menu you enjoy, Fresh bread, Cold meats, broth and pickled vegetables before you get your starter. We started with 'Warm Cornish Gouda Custard, wild garlic and toasted hazelnuts' and to say this starter was one of the best things I have ever eaten is an understatement. We then moved on to our mains ' Goosnargh chicken with Riesling, summer vegetables and spatzle'. Again like the starter, without a doubt this was the best chicken I have ever eaten, with the most incredible sauce. it was hard to fault. We then moved on to our desserts... 10/10 we were treated to a 'Sugared Almond souffle, persevered apricots and osmanthus Ice cream'. Now this was the perfect dessert to end the perfect lunch, not to heavy, fruity and just incredible flavour.

It is clear to see why this venue is so highly rated. The food was faultless, the service we received was impeccable. from the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff could not do enough for us. One thing i like was that each table was fitted with a draw which had things like a small menu in, Phone chargers and things like that things that people who have been out in London all day (whether it be working or for leisure) need.

As I have stated before the service here could not be faulted, from clearing every crumb when dropped within 60 seconds to making sure our glasses were full of of the time. 10/10 for service.

As you can tell from what I have written about Hide, it is quite a prestigious restaurant and for a set lunch it will set you back a little but it is totally worth what you are paying.

So now we have spoken about the meal lets talk a little about the venue 'Hide is a restaurant and bar by Hedonism Wines and Ollie Dabbous. Set over three floors, flooded with natural daylight and enjoying views across Green Park, Hide offers you the very best food and drink in a refined but relaxed setting.' is what their website says and it truly is a natural feeling inside, light coloured wood natural light its unbelievable relaxing.

We would highly recommend visiting Hide, on your next night out in London. 10/10
