In honour of International Women’s Day, Scott's Richmond is hosting a special edition of its Sports Dinner Series, welcoming Olympic champion Sally Gunnell for an exclusive three-course lunch and live Q&A on Tuesday 4 March.
Set within the restaurant’s elegant upstairs dining room, the event combines refined seasonal dining with a conversation centred on motivation, mindset and the resilience required to perform at the highest level.

An Icon of British Sport
Best known for winning Olympic gold in the 400m hurdles at Barcelona 1992, Gunnell remains the only woman in history to have simultaneously held Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European titles alongside the world record. Her achievements cement her status as one of Britain’s most celebrated athletes.
Today, Gunnell continues to inspire through broadcasting, corporate speaking and advocacy around health and wellbeing. At Scott’s Richmond, she will reflect on career-defining moments, leadership lessons and the discipline required to sustain elite performance, offering guests rare insight into life at the very top of international sport.

A Refined Setting for Inspiring Conversation
The afternoon begins with a glass of Ruinart Rosé before guests sit down to a three-course menu curated by Head Chef Tom Fraser.
Starters feature Buffalo mozzarella with violet artichokes, datterini tomato, fennel and green goddess dressing, followed by roast fillet of cod served with romesco sauce and padrón peppers. Dessert arrives in the form of a nostalgic Raspberry Ripple Coupe with vanilla ice cream, fresh raspberries and meringue.
During the meal, Gunnell will take to the floor for a live conversation before opening up to audience questions, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere.

Sport, Leadership and Celebration
The Sports Dinner Series at Scott’s Richmond has become known for bringing together notable sporting figures and guests in a relaxed yet elevated setting. This International Women’s Day edition places female achievement firmly in focus, celebrating not only Gunnell’s historic accomplishments but the wider themes of capability, wellbeing and confidence.
With limited spaces available, the event offers a rare opportunity to enjoy exceptional dining while hearing first-hand from one of Britain’s most inspiring sporting figures.
The lunch begins at 12:30pm. Further details and booking information can be found via Scott’s Richmond’s website.
