Seiko Announces Reinterpretation of 1968 Diver

Seiko proudly introduces the Prospex 1968 Diver’s Reinterpretation. In 1968, Seiko launched revolutionary new innovation with the world's first hi-beat Diver's watch. With a case design inspired by the original 1968 piece, carrying the name ‘Marinemaster’ from Seiko’s heritage in diving watchmaking, this new re-interpretation has the same 300m water resistance.

Under a dual-curved sapphire crystal glass is a crisp white dial with a subtle sand-like pattern. Designed for high contrast under water, all aspects are optimised for diving conditions: a streamlined case, with the crown in the comfy 4 o'clock position, strong Lumibrite for legibility at the darkest depths and a unidirectional rotating bezel as per ISO Diving standard.Especially crafted for divers, the 8L35 calibre is a highly accurate, reliable and robust movement. Crafted at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan's Iwate prefecture, this calibre is accurate to +15/-10 seconds per day with a 50-hour power reserve
