HM Visits: The Kitchen at Holmes

The Kitchen at Holmes on Baker Street has finally opened it's doors today (12th June 2019) but not before we were invited in last night to see what this highly anticipated Bar/Restaurant had to offer.

We were invited in one what was a Pre-opening night to sample some of the amazing cocktails but more importantly the heavenly dishes that was on offer. When we arrived at the venue we were instantly impressed by the decor, a very light and spacious feel to it with just a subtle hint of Sherlock himself, the right amount in our eyes. We were warmly greeted at the door then shown to our table in the bar area where we were treated to two incredible cocktails...One in a pipe! and the other in a glass tea set, alongside some canapés to start which were very tasty.

After a short time we were move into the dining area (Pictured Below) where we would begin our six course meal. The meal was faultless, from flavoursome fish to succulent steak, I found out quickly that the food here would be simply incredible. We were treated to a tasting menu giving us the opportunity to taste more dishes and there wasn't one that was served that I didn't enjoy.

The kitchen at Holmes is right at the heart of Marylebone. The menus will change seasonally and will be designed for Londoners offering a diverse range of cuisine. Stefano Motta, the experienced Head Chef at Kitchen at Holmes, has created a diverse menu, showcasing

the perfect blend between some of the best seasonal produce as well as delivering dishes using international influences and techniques, we have were told. Mr Motta said, “I am extremely excited to be part this project and announce the launch of Kitchen at Holmes. For me, it was important to create a menu that is hearty and diverse yet also including a touch of playfulness. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner we have created something for everyone.”

The restaurant area will offer an open kitchen concept, allowing guests to witness Motta’s creations being prepared. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and boasting approximately 50 covers. Its clear to see what they have set out to achieve has indeed been achieved. I would go as far as predicting this could be the most popular eatery in Marylebone by the end of the year.

I would highly recommend visiting the Kitchen at Holmes sooner rather than later as I feel there could be a long waiting list in a couple of months time.
