There are collaborations that feel inevitable and others that feel inspired. This one manages to be both. Witchmark Distillery and Bath Rugby have unveiled their first joint release, a limited edition London Dry Gin that arrives with the confidence of a partnership rooted in shared pride and a sense of place. It is a bottle that celebrates craft and heritage while raising a glass to one of the most memorable seasons in the club’s history.

At first glance the Bath Rugby x Witchmark Spirited Union Gin is a striking object. Witchmark’s much loved Single Origin London Dry has been dressed for the occasion in the club’s unmistakable blue, black and white. The result is a bottle that feels as collectible as it is drinkable. Inside, the distillery’s classic recipe delivers a polished balance of flavour, where the piney brightness of juniper meets zesty orange, gentle heat from cinnamon and cubeb, and a savoury whisper of bay leaf. A touch of coriander adds a clean and citrus forward lift. It is a timeless expression that works with elegance in a gin and tonic or a Martini and it carries itself with the quiet confidence of a spirit made with purpose.
Witchmark Distillery has always leaned into the history beneath its feet. The name comes from the ancient protective marks carved into the stone of their buildings, symbols from the sixteen hundreds that were believed to guard both people and produce. That sense of heritage continues in their use of single origin barley grown in fields surrounding the distillery, only thirty miles from the Recreation Ground. For a club that values its roots as much as its ambitions, it is an alignment that makes perfect sense.

“This is our first collaboration and it is a special one,” says Jon Carson, co founder and Commercial Director at Witchmark. “Our distillery is just down the road from The Rec and we share Bath Rugby’s commitment to excellence and community. This gin is a classic example of London Dry and it marks an important moment for both of us.”
Bath Rugby’s Commercial Director, James Bibby, echoes the sentiment. “It feels fitting to celebrate an unforgettable treble winning season with a release that supporters can enjoy both at The Rec and throughout the city. This special edition is a toast to everything that season represented.”
The gin is priced at forty three pounds and available in limited quantities. Supporters will find it through Bath Rugby’s retail channels, including the stadium shop and hospitality spaces, as well as directly from Witchmark’s visitor centre and online store. A selection of local venues will also stock the release, including Ludo Sports Bar and Kitchen, The Sam Weller’s, The Three Horseshoes, The Architect in Bath, Independent Spirit of Bath, Hideout Bath and Flan O Briens.
A bottle with local character, crafted precision and a story worth sharing. This is more than a collaboration. It is a celebration in liquid form.
