Breaking The Silence This International Women’s Month - Health Experts Launch Free Conversation Starter Tool

Ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day on March 8th, Nurses at The Independent Health and Wellbeing Group (IHWG), an employee wellbeing group, are championing open conversation about women’s health in the workplace.

To support this year’s theme of ‘Inspire Inclusion’, The IHWG have launched free online meeting backgrounds in a bid to encourage companies to break the silence around the topic of menopause, and the associated challenges women face at work. Download the FREE online meeting backgrounds, here.

A staggering three in five menopausal individuals face difficulties every day at work (CIPD, 2019), and IHWG Nurses believe that starting open conversations can combat this misunderstood form of workplace discrimination. The IHWG is urging companies to adopt these online meeting backgrounds to show solidarity, support and understanding towards their female employees.

Of this uplifting initiative, Hazel Hayden, Founder of The IHWG said: “Our aim is to inspire companies to visibly join the conversation on women’s health at work. Using the meeting backgrounds is a tangible way companies and HR leaders can demonstrate true commitment to dismantling the stigma surrounding women’s health in the workplace, and showcase themselves as leaders in the inclusion movement this International Women’s Day.”
