Bradford is about to get loud again. The city’s nightlife once pulsed with bassline and bhangra until sunrise, and now that same spirit is being reignited on stage. Bring It Back is the new immersive theatre experience that is already turning heads and selling out performances before opening night.

Created and led by award-winning Bradford actress Natalie Davies, the production captures the city’s musical heartbeat and the nostalgia that lives within those who remember its golden years. Set at Bradford Arts Centre, the show invites audiences to relive the rhythm of the city through an electrifying blend of theatre, live DJ sets, and film.

Bring It Back

At its centre is Nadia Uddin, a thirty-something DJ facing the familiar pull between ambition and peace of mind. Through her story, Bring It Back dives into the complex relationship between identity, belonging, and the places that shape us. It is part love letter, part comeback mission, but entirely Bradford at its best.

Davies explains that the production was born from a longing to celebrate what once made Bradford’s nights so unforgettable. “Bradford’s nightlife has always been electric. I wanted to channel that hunger we all feel for the past and remind people how powerful those memories can be,” she says.

Each performance concludes with a post-show DJ event, transforming the theatre into a dance floor once again. Local talent will take over the decks, from Dipak Mistry and Phat Fingerz to Aimee Barber, creating an atmosphere that celebrates Bradford’s community and creativity in full motion.

The show’s creative team reads like a roll call of northern talent. Elvi Piper directs with Antony Jones as designer, Jae Depz as musical director and live DJ, and cinematography by Lian Furness. Every detail has been built to immerse audiences in both the performance and the party that follows.

Supported by Bradford Arts Centre, Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, Arts Council England, and the National Theatre Generate Programme, Bring It Back carries the weight of a city that has always thrived on energy, expression, and togetherness.

Performances run from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 October, including a Saturday matinee that offers a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. With evening tickets already close to selling out, the anticipation around this production is a sign that Bradford is ready for its next big night.

For those who remember the old dancefloors or simply want to feel the pulse of a city in celebration, Bring It Back promises more than just a show. It is a reminder that the music never really stopped—it was just waiting for the right moment to start again.

Tickets are available now via Bradford Arts Centre.
