Chotto Matte expands into the French Riviera with Chotto Matte St Tropez

Popular London born dining destination Chotto Matte continues its global expansion with the opening of its debut French Riviera location this summer. The Japanese-Peruvian restaurant has taken up residence at the iconic EPI 1959 hotel in St Tropez bringing the inimitable taste of Nikkei cuisine to the popular hotspot. 



Sitting within the idyllic garden designed by famous American landscape artist Madison Cox, Chotto Matte offers guests a hidden haven, set within traditional stone walls offering an ode to the history of the boutique hotel, to enjoy the exquisite menu under the shade of palm trees.

Focusing on sushi, sashimi and luxury seafood dishes with extensive sharing menus and masterfully curated cocktails, served in the restaurant, on the beach or poolside. In keeping with Chotto Matte’s signature use of fresh ingredients, the restaurant will offer a selection of standout dishes including 96-hour Marinated and house-smoked Chuleta de Cordero Ahumada, Gambas tigre a la parilla and Wagyu anticucho all to be enjoyed whilst basking in the St Tropez summer sun and enjoying the views of the French Riviera.

The restaurant’s enticing bar menu gives guests the opportunity to cool off with a signature Chotto Matte cocktail, showcasing expert twists on classics incorporating the Japanese-Peruvian charm the restaurant is known for. Signature cocktails include the Yuzi Martini, Jasmine Fantasy and the Nikkei Negroni all blending a delicious range of spirits including Japanese Whiskies, Piscos and more.
