EVE, restaurant, bar and café set to open in Kensington & Chelsea neighbourhood this September

Wednesday, 13th September 2023 will see the launch of EVE; a restaurant, bar and café by White Rabbit Projects located in Ember Locke in the heart of Kensington & Chelsea. The venue will offer an all-day menu that takes inspiration from the diverse flavours and breaking bread cultures of the Eastern and Southern Mediterranean. EVE will capture the rich and abundant culinary style of the region with a focus on vegetables, grilled meats and seafood.

The menu features an array of small plates, grill-focussed mains and desserts, created by Executive Chef, Talia Prince. Talia, who’s impressive career includes positions at Le Gavroche, The Fat Duck and her own Chef Residency at Soho House White City. Talia has added her “twist to well-known and popular dishes to create unique plates featuring fresh, zingy and spicy flavours, crunchy salads, smoky skewers and punchy dressings”.

Guests are invited to enjoy vibrant flavours and textures through house-made breads and dips, followed by a selection of small plates including Za’atar fried chicken, zhoug mayonnaise, Herb falafel, tahini & pickles and Red Mediterranean prawns, smoked garlic, Baharat, lime & chilli butter. Grilled to order on the plancha, large plates will include Charred mushroom skewers, roast yeast sauce, Zhoug stonebass, smoked tomato chickpeas, caramelised toum and Ras el hanout lamb belly, baba ghanoush, salted labneh & charred onion. For dessert, hot, cold, sweet and sour combine in dishes including a Caramel flan with grilled plums, Halva ice cream choux with salted caramel butter or Pistachio and polenta cake with fig leaf syrup and sour cream.

The 51-cover restaurant will be open weekly on Wednesdays from 6pm - 10pm and Thursday - Sunday from 12 midday - 10pm.

In addition, the EVE bar provides an ideal setting for drinks and entertainment. Guests can sip on a selection of classic cocktails and signature serves including a Plum Sour with Sapling gin, St Germain and house-made plum puree, and EVE’s Pink Paloma. The wine menu features an international selection of low intervention, organic or biodynamic wines where farming principles focus on biodiversity to produce bold yet elegant wines - the perfect match to Talia’s culinary offer.

The bar will be open Monday-Wednesday from 4-11pm and Thursday-Sunday from 12-11pm. On Friday evenings from mid-September, EVE will host live music with diverse artists and performers programmed by award-winning experience architects Black Rabbit Projects, followed by a DJ taking the stage after dark. The monthly events programme will be released on EVE’s Instagram. Adjacent to the bar is Ember Locke’s walled garden, where the EVE bar atmosphere spills out onto the terrace and lawn.

Alongside the restaurant and bar, EVE café will be open daily from 7am to 4pm, serving a menu of pastries, cakes, juices, hot and cold speciality beverages and a daily selection of freshly prepared sandwiches. A convivial and relaxed space perfect for coworking, guests and local residents alike.

The Ember Locke interior has been designed in collaboration by creative and interior design studios Atelier Ochre and House of Dré. The warm, distinctive interiors and layering of casual and bohemian spaces welcome guests, whilst the Art Deco style combined with 21st century design ensure the interiors are a reimagining of over a decade of glamour in Kensington.

Situated on Cromwell Road, EVE is positioned in a neighbourhood rich with culture and is within walking distance of some of London’s most famous museums, including the Natural History Museum, the V&A, the Science Museum, and the Design Museum.
