Leicester Square is set for a new kind of nightlife experience this spring as Rocket Room prepares to open its doors above Market Place Food Hall Leicester Square, introducing a refined take on social gaming in the heart of the West End.
Opening in April, the 120-capacity venue reimagines the traditional games bar, blending competitive play with the energy and polish of a cocktail-led space. Positioned on the second floor overlooking Leicester Square, Rocket Room offers a setting that feels closer to an intimate late-night bar than a typical activity venue.

Inside, guests can move between axe throwing, darts, shuffleboard and beer pong, all set against a backdrop of low lighting, music and a central bar that anchors the room. DJs will build momentum throughout the evening, creating a space designed to evolve from early drinks into a full night out.
The drinks offering leans into classic cocktails, executed with precision. Expect Negronis, Margaritas and Old Fashioneds, alongside a selection of premium pours curated by experienced mixologists. The result is a menu that complements the energy of the space without overshadowing it.

What sets Rocket Room apart is its positioning. While many of London’s gaming venues operate at scale, this concept focuses on atmosphere and flexibility. It is designed to work just as naturally for smaller groups and date nights as it does for larger social bookings, offering a more considered alternative within the category.
Its location also brings a unique advantage. With direct views over Leicester Square, the venue becomes a front-row setting for some of London’s most high-profile film premieres, allowing guests to take in the spectacle of the West End while staying firmly within the experience upstairs.
Guests can also make use of the wider offering within Market Place Food Hall before heading up, creating a seamless progression from dining to drinks and entertainment in one location.
With pricing structured around both individual games and group packages, Rocket Room is positioned to cater to a broad mix of occasions, from casual evenings out to organised celebrations and private events.
As London continues to evolve its nightlife landscape, Rocket Room arrives as a concept that blends energy, design and experience into one cohesive space, bringing a sharper edge to social gaming in one of the city’s most iconic locations.
Rocket Room opens this April.
