Nereus

It's clear to see that in the last few years there’s been a significant increase in sustainability awareness. As consumers, we’re also becoming more conscious about the products we purchase and the effect they have on the planet. James Inglesby and Diana Ziegler are two entrepreneurs who very much subscribe to this line of thinking - so much, in fact, that it led them to launch their own sustainable luxury beauty product brand, Nereus London.

As James, who spent 12 years working with beauty products for a major multinational, and Diana, who worked in the fashion industry, told us, 'We felt like we wanted to do something more meaningful with our lives. We decided to combine our skills and create products that we felt were missing from the market. Our goal is to make beauty products that are not only of the highest quality in terms of performance, but also all-natural and environmentally sustainable'.

The concept of sustainable products isn’t necessarily new to the industry, but as we mentioned, it is something that has seen significant growth over the last few years.

What separates Nereus London from most of its competitors is that it doesn’t compromise on either quality or its principles of sustainability, with the brand making it clear that its goal is to 'deliver an excellent product experience with the environment at the heart and soul of every decision.'

The co-founders elaborated on this further: 'There are many brands that have launched sustainable offerings but almost always at some cost - whether it’s to the aesthetics, product performance, or both. We didn’t want to compromise on any of those factors, so we endeavoured to create recyclable premium packaging, natural formulations that actually work, and fragrances that are both organic and smell amazing.'

The brand’s range of products are made from all-natural, ethically sourced ingredients and on a completely plastic-free supply chain, showing their dedication to being one of the most sustainable brands around. They currently offer an Australian Buddha Wood Shampoo and matching Conditioner, two different luxurious body washes, a sanitising hand gel, as well as their recently launched Christmas gift set.

James and Diana are always looking at ways to make Nereus London even more sustainable. They ask for and welcome any suggestions put forward to them on their website or through social media, so if you have any tips for them, feel free!
