Archway, Battersea
Archway, the ever-popular neighbourhood restaurant located under an old railway arch in Battersea is a stone’s throw away from the iconic Battersea Park and offers a relaxed and intimate dining experience in the heart of the community. From the founder of Spook London, the modern hospitality company which caters for some of the most prominent brands and individuals, Archway places a real emphasis on the importance of seasonal produce and ethical cooking, offering a selection of old and new world wines and seasonal dishes to be enjoyed for locals and visitors alike.
Since launching Spook in 2014, Emily Few Brown, the Founder of Spook and Archway, has been on a mission to put people and the planet at the forefront of hospitality, creating personal and meaningful experiences surrounding food and drink. Encompassing this ethos, Few Brown set out to ensure Archway continues to have a key focus on sustainability, with growing and foraging at the heart of the menu, all of which has been curated by Head Chef, Lorenzo Nigro.
Bringing a rich tapestry of culinary experiences and a deep-rooted passion for food to the Archway kitchen, Nigro’s experience centres around his Italian heritage. Bringing his wealth of knowledge to Archway’s kitchen, Nigro brings an abundance of bold flavours and refined dishes to the table.
Archway focuses on serving a small menu that is ever-evolving in line with the seasons, changing often in order to celebrate the very best produce available, delivering a unique connection between both land and table. Open for lunch and dinner, hero dishes include fresh pasta dishes made daily, such as Tagliolini with mussels, tomato and walnuts, Wood Braised Lamb Breast with scarola, olives, capers, lemon and oregano; and Grilled Langoustine with herbs butter and puntarelle salad. Those with a sweet tooth can also enjoy a selection of desserts including Custard Cream Bomboloni, Apple and Thyme Tarte Tatin or opt for the Selection of seasonal sorbets.
Archway’s wine list has been carefully curated to complement the food offering with a range of ever changing high quality wines including old and new world wines. With a relaxed, intimate and contemporary feel, the local Battersea community is at the restaurant’s core – reflected across every aspect of food, service and design. The restaurant can host up to 45 covers and is open to guests for dinner service between Wednesday and Saturday from 18.00 - 22.00, and lunch service Friday- Sunday 12.00 - 15.00.
Emily Few Brown, Founder of Archway says: “I am so happy Archway has been well-recognised so far and it is great to be part of the ever growing buzz around Battersea. Together, with Lorenzo and the whole team, we love serving the whole community with truly good seasonal food”.
Lorenzo Nigro, Head Chef at Archway says: “I love bringing my creativity to Archway’s kitchen. The ever-changing menu allows me to experiment with my cooking and seasonal produce, all in a really intimate environment, which I love.”
