Dance stars turn out for MOVE IT 2025
This weekend, the world’s largest dance event, MOVE IT, celebrated its 20th anniversary at London’s ExCel Centre, bringing together top dance talent and fans from all over the UK. The three-day extravaganza featured everything from high-energy performances and classes to exclusive meet-and-greets, making it the ultimate destination for dance enthusiasts.

Headline act Diversity, winners of Britain’s Got Talent and a BAFTA award, delivered an electrifying ten-minute performance alongside their Diversity Studio dancers. Sporting white shirts, black t-shirts, and sharp black trousers, the group brought the Main Stage to life with their signature sharp stops, gravity-defying acrobatics, and powerful moves. Set to music from Busta Rhymes, Rihanna, and more, their performance closed Saturday’s event with a dazzling display of lighting and projections.
Special guests at the event included Love Island star Molly Marsh, who interacted with fans, introduced top performers on the Main Stage, and recorded an episode for the MOVE IT podcast, where she talked about her career and upcoming music releases and returning to MOVE IT, West End star Layton Williams. Celebrated for his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing as well as roles in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Cabaret, and now Titanique which recently earnt him an Olivier award nomination, Layton taught two sold-out workshops and took time to meet fans in between performances in the Titanic parody at the Criterion Theatre.

Since 2005, MOVE IT has been a major celebration of the dance and performing arts industry, offering a platform for both rising stars and established professionals. Over the past 20 years, the event has drawn more than 400,000 participants, including dancers, teachers, spectators, and professionals of all ages and skill levels. In 2024 alone, 33,000 attendees joined in the fun. MOVE IT continues to be an unmissable event for anyone passionate about dance, from hobbyists to students, professionals, and families looking for an exciting day filled with performances, classes, talks, auditions, competitions, and more. Past performers include Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil and Katya Jones, Darcey Bussell, Company Wayne McGregor, and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.
