As the festive season approaches, Islington Square is preparing to welcome visitors to a Christmas celebration that promises something for everyone, including four-legged friends. On Saturday, 15 November, from 11am to 5.30pm, Upper Street will be transformed into a hub of seasonal cheer, combining shopping, dining, and entertainment into one unmissable day out.

The event will feature live music, roaming performers, and activities designed to delight all ages. Children can enjoy face painting while dogs can strike a pose with a professional caricaturist, ensuring that even the family pet gets a touch of festive glamour. A Christmas market curated by Urban Food Fest will showcase a vibrant selection of local makers and artisanal products, offering an alternative to the usual high street fare.

Retailers, restaurants, and bars across Islington Square are joining the festivities with exclusive promotions, festive menus, and special activations. Visitors can discover unique gifts, indulge in seasonal dishes, or simply unwind at the cinema or theatre. The atmosphere is set to be warm and welcoming, with decorations that capture the spirit of the season while providing the perfect backdrop for a day of leisure and shopping.

Among the highlights, WagWorks is inviting dogs and their owners to enjoy a branded cart filled with festive treats, a Christmas-themed lucky dip, and a chance to book the first Christmas grooming session at half price. Food enthusiasts can explore the Borough Kitchen Cookery School with gift vouchers, enjoy Mediterranean sharing boards at Megan’s, or sip complimentary Masala Tea at OMNOM while taking part in a Spin and Win for discounts and festive prizes. Shoppers will also benefit from discounts at Swyft, Fish Eye, and more, while children can get creative at Wheat’s in-store craft table.

The celebrations coincide with a host of new openings at Islington Square. Swyft launches its first UK store with design-led, easy-to-assemble furniture, WagWorks offers a holistic dog-friendly membership experience, and Nguyen Wahed Art Gallery presents contemporary art that pushes boundaries. Tee Go introduces indoor golf with state-of-the-art simulators, and StretchLAB will soon offer one-on-one assisted stretching sessions aimed at improving mobility and posture.

With a combination of festive fun, shopping, and unique experiences, Islington Square is shaping up to be the destination of choice this Christmas. Whether visiting for gifts, entertainment, or simply to soak up the season’s spirit, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
