For years, intimate wellness has remained one of the last great taboos in women’s health. While conversations about skincare, fitness, and nutrition have become mainstream, the subject of vaginal health is often met with discomfort or silence. Lana Kerr has made it part of her mission to change that. Through Lumisque Skincare and the creation of CO2LIFT® V, she is working to normalise the conversation, provide effective solutions, and give women the confidence to reclaim this crucial part of their wellbeing.

In this second instalment of our four week interview series, Kerr speaks candidly about why stigma persists, how generational attitudes are shifting, and what it takes to move intimate care into the wider wellness dialogue. She also reflects on the role confidence plays in both intimate and outer wellbeing, and why myths around age and decline must finally be left behind.

Lana Kerr

You have been very open about intimate health, a topic that is still considered off limits in many circles. What inspired you to make it part of your mission?

I was inspired by the silence I saw around the subject. Women will talk about their skin, their hair, even their weight, but when it comes to intimate health, there is still so much stigma. Yet this is an area that impacts quality of life, relationships, and self confidence. For me, it became part of my mission because I wanted to normalize the conversation and give women solutions that are both effective and dignified. Every woman deserves to feel comfortable in her own body, and that includes her most intimate areas.

How do you start to change the conversation when women feel embarrassed or even ashamed about discussing intimate wellness?

It begins with creating safe spaces and leading with honesty. When I speak openly about intimate health, it gives other women permission to do the same. Education is also key. Once women understand that issues like dryness, laxity, or urinary leakage are common and treatable, the shame starts to fade. I always remind women that intimate health is simply part of overall wellness, and the more we talk about it, the more empowered we become to take care of ourselves.

The CO2LIFT® V is a product that directly addresses vaginal rejuvenation. What was the reaction when you first introduced it?

The first reaction to CO2LIFT® V was often avoidance, with many women saying, “Oh, I don’t have a problem.” Because there was so little education about how aging impacts intimate skin and functionality, the topic was not widely accepted at first, and many women felt closed off. There were challenges in starting the conversation, but slowly things began to change. Once women and physicians saw the results such as better hydration, improved comfort, and restored confidence, the response shifted to excitement. What made it even more empowering was that women had options, including the ability to treat in the privacy and comfort of their own home. And now, more women are speaking out and normalizing the conversation, which is helping to remove the stigma and open the door for others to embrace their intimate wellness.

Why do you think the wellness industry has been so slow to acknowledge intimate health as part of overall wellbeing?

The main reason the wellness industry has been so slow to acknowledge intimate health is stigma. For years, many viewed that area of a woman’s body only in the context of childbirth, as though its function began and ended there. The fact is, not every woman will give birth, but every woman will experience changes such as dryness and atrophy if these issues are not addressed. Avoiding the subject did not make the problems disappear. Women have always needed support in this area. The wellness industry is only now catching up to the reality that intimate health is just as important as skincare, nutrition, or fitness. My belief is that as we continue to remove the taboo, the industry will treat intimate care as a natural extension of women’s health.

What role does confidence play in the way women approach both their intimate and outer wellness?

Confidence is everything. When a woman feels comfortable in her body, it shows in how she walks into a room, how she speaks, and even in the choices she makes for her overall health. Intimate wellness is directly tied to that confidence. If something feels off, it can affect not just intimacy but also emotional wellbeing. When we restore comfort and function, we restore confidence, and that radiates outward into every part of a woman’s life.

Have you seen generational differences in how women talk about these subjects compared to younger audiences who are more vocal about self care?

Yes, absolutely. Younger women are growing up in a culture that is more open about self care and body awareness, and they are far more comfortable talking about intimate wellness. Older generations, on the other hand, often carry more stigma and silence around these subjects. But what is exciting is that once the conversation begins, women of all ages respond. They realize it is never too late to reclaim their wellness, and the dialogue becomes empowering across generations.

If there was one myth about intimate health that you would like to erase completely, what would it be?

The myth I would erase is that decline in intimate health is something women simply have to accept with age, childbirth, or menopause. That belief keeps too many women silent and suffering. The truth is, we have safe, effective, and non invasive solutions like CO2LIFT® V that can restore hydration, function, and comfort. Intimate health is not a luxury, it is a vital part of overall wellbeing, and every woman deserves access to it.

Kerr’s perspective is clear: intimate health is not a luxury but a vital part of overall wellness. She explains how CO2LIFT® V has moved from initial scepticism to becoming an empowering option for women who want results in the comfort of their own home. She underlines how confidence in intimate wellness translates directly into confidence in every aspect of life, and highlights the importance of breaking stigma across generations. By removing silence and embracing honest dialogue, Kerr argues, women can reclaim their wellness with dignity and self assurance. This second conversation adds depth to the series, tackling a subject too often overlooked but central to the future of women’s health.
