Maestro Dobel Tequila has partnered with modern Mexican restaurant Ixchel to celebrate this year’s Chelsea in Bloom with a limited-edition cocktail and dish inspired by the festival, available exclusively from Monday, 19th May to Thursday, 26th June. The collaboration spotlights Maestro Dobel Silver in a new cocktail to honour the (conveniently timed) ‘Flower Moon’ which occurs in May. This serve is paired with a specially curated dish by Ixchel’s head chef Ximena Gayosso Gonzalez, and is designed to coincide with the neighbourhood’s annual floral takeover.

Maestro Dobel Tequila

The ‘Flower Moon’ cocktail is a crisp and refreshing blend of Maestro Dobel Silver, rosé wine, lime juice, Peychaud’s bitters, and rose syrup, garnished with rose petals. Light and aromatic, the serve offers a modern expression of tequila with a delicate floral twist. For those seeking a more elevated sipping experience, Ixchel will also offer Maestro Dobel’s ultra-premium expressions, 50 Cristalino and ‘1973’ Extra-Añejo. Both tequilas showcase remarkable smoothness and depth, intended to be savoured neat.

Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino is crafted from aged Extra-Añejo tequila matured in Eastern European and American oak barrels. It then undergoes a meticulous filtration process to remove colour while retaining the aroma and flavour characteristics developed through ageing. The result is an exceptionally smooth, crystal-clear spirit with all the complexity of a mature tequila. Maestro Dobel 50 ‘1973’ is the pinnacle of the brand’s portfolio, an ultra-luxury Extra-Añejo aged for a minimum of seven years, including a final finish in rare Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Alongside the cocktail, Ixchel will serve a limited-edition ‘Flower Moon’ dish available daily until 26th June. The dish honours the cultural significance of mole in Mexican cuisine and balances earthy flavours from celeriac, artichokes, Jerusalem artichokes and sweet potato, allowing the depth and richness of the mole to take centre stage.

In line with Chelsea in Bloom’s 2025 theme ‘Flowers in Fashion’, Maestro Dobel and Ixchel have collaborated with award-winning event florist Alice Strange on a striking installation that reimagines the walk-in wardrobe of a Mexican Mayan goddess. A bespoke, hand-carved and hand-painted wardrobe inspired by traditional Mexican carpentry has been built across the façade of Ixchel, with one side showcasing a dramatic floral dress and the other a vibrant dressing table. Maestro Dobel bottles feature throughout the wardrobe, displayed on the vanity and tucked inside drawers, as an homage to the goddess’s collection of perfume. Constructed entirely without floral foam, using only natural materials, the installation champions sustainable floristry while celebrating the powerful beauty and spirit of the moon goddess.

Founded by 11th-generation tequila maker Juan Domingo Beckmann, Maestro Dobel is known for producing the world’s first Cristalino tequila and continues to redefine the category through innovation and craftsmanship. Both the 50 Cristalino and ‘1973’ expressions are available to purchase via House of Spirits and other selected prestige retailers.
