New neighbourhood restaurant, Archway, is set to open its doors in Battersea in March 2023

Spook London, the modern hospitality company which caters for some of the most prominent brands and individuals, is proud to announce the opening of its first restaurant and wine bar in March 2023. Archway, situated under an old railway arch in Battersea, and a stone’s throw away from the iconic Battersea Park will bring guests a relaxed and intimate dining experience to the heart of Battersea community, with a selection of old and new world wines and seasonal dishes, curated by former Chef at the River Cafe, Alex Owens.

Archway, which is set to officially open its doors in March 2023, will be the brand's first brick and mortar restaurant. Since launching Spook in 2014, Emily Few Brown, the Founder of Spook and Archway, has been on a mission to put people and the planet at the forefront of hospitality, creating personal and meaningful experiences surrounding food and drink. Encompassing this ethos, Few Brown has set out to ensure Archway will have a key focus on sustainability, with growing and foraging at the heart of the menu, all of which has been curated by Head Chef, Alex Owens.

Leading on the menu development, Owens' experience centres around producing exceptional menus that exude bold flavours, are high in quality and have a key focus on sustainable ingredients. Archway will focus on serving a small menu that will be ever-evolving in line with the seasons, changing often in order to celebrate the very best produce available, delivering a unique connection between both land and table. Open for lunch and dinner, hero dishes are set to include fresh pasta dishes made daily, such as Pappardelle with radicchio and scamorza, Wood Roast Scarlet Prawns with nduja; and Deep Fried Quail with celery, capers and aioli. Those with a sweet tooth can also enjoy a selection of desserts including Hot Chocolate Mousse with malted milk ice cream; beignets with spiced plum and creme fraiche; and Chocolate, Hazelnut and Pear tart.

Archway’s wine list has been carefully curated to complement the food offering with a range of ever changing high quality wines including old and new world wines. With a relaxed, intimate and contemporary feel, the local Battersea community will be at the restaurant’s core – reflected across every aspect of food, service and design. The restaurant will be able to host up to 45 covers and will be open to guests for dinner service between Wednesday and Saturday from 18.00 - 22.00, and lunch service Sundays 12.00 - 15.00.

Alex Ownes, Head Chef at Archway says: “I am so excited to be on board with Spook to open this new venture. I live in Battersea, and I really think that there’s a space for a new neighbourhood restaurant that’s independent, fresh and exciting. I want the food to be produce-led, honest and without any frills, and I can’t wait for guests to come and enjoy the space and menu that the team have all been working so hard on”

Emily Few Brown, Founder of Archway says: “I am so excited to bring our first restaurant to life and for the people of Battersea to enjoy the amazing food and wine offering we have, the buzz around Battersea is ever growing and we are delighted to be in the mix of it all.”
