Featuring acclaimed speakers and a world-premiere docuseries, the four-day symposium brought ancient wisdom to a modern, global audience.
From May 2–5, more than 7,000 people across 30+ countries engaged with Shifts Happen, a landmark global astrology symposium curated and headlined by world-renowned astrologer and cultural commentator Steve Judd.

Hosted in the historic cathedral city of St Albans, the four-day gathering welcomed some of the most respected voices in astrology, including Penny Thornton, Rick Levine, Nick Campion, Alex Trenoweth, as well as complementary sessions with Amanda Ellis and Piotr Kardas. Across 15+ workshops, keynotes, and interactive sessions, the event explored planetary cycles, health, consciousness, and astrology’s evolving relevance in a fast-changing world.
Over 100 participants attended in person - travelling from Australia to Austria, Bermuda to Belgium, and Mexico to Kuwait - while hundreds of others joined the livestream from six continents, including Israel, Brazil, South Africa, and the US. The final session, streamed live and free to a global audience, attracted over 7,000 viewers, underscoring a deep, global appetite for orientation in uncertain times.
“This event marked a turning point, a moment where the deeper meaning behind current global chaos was brought into sharp focus,” said Judd. “We’re entering a new era of consciousness, and astrology is re-emerging not as superstition, but as a lens through which we decode both global upheaval and our individual roles within it.”
Highlights of the event included:
The exclusive world premiere of The History of Western Astrology, a new docuseries written, narrated and co-directed by Judd, tracing astrology’s roots from ancient Greece and the Islamic Golden Age to its modern-day resurgence.
Live Q&A sessions with speakers exploring the intersection of celestial cycles and cultural change, from the rise of AI to the fall of traditional leadership models.
Workshops covering everything from medical astrology to astrocartography, humour in the zodiac, and astrology’s role in modern education and governance.

The event received widespread praise for its diversity of perspectives and its grounded, practical tone. Attendees described the experience as “profound,” “timely,” and “surprisingly relevant to the world stage.”
Whether grappling with climate change, political volatility, or spiritual fatigue, Shifts Happen affirmed astrology’s place at the intersection of symbolic wisdom, cultural memory, and human meaning-making.
