Sound Bites Launches in London With Two-Day Food and Music Festival at Syon Park

London is set to welcome a new kind of festival this spring as Sound Bites makes its debut at The Clementine in Syon Park on 8 and 9 May. Blending live music, chef-led dining and street food culture, the two-day event promises an immersive celebration of flavour, sound and social connection, all in support of Children with Cancer UK.
Designed by the team behind some of the UK’s most successful food festivals over the past 25 years, Sound Bites reimagines the traditional festival format. Rather than separating food and entertainment, the event places them side by side, encouraging guests to move fluidly between dining experiences, live performances and relaxed social spaces.

A Festival Built Around Taste and Creativity
At the heart of Sound Bites is a curated programme of food-led experiences. The Classics Feasts bring together comfort food and crowd-pleasing music, with pop-up kitchens and leading chefs, including Atul Kochhar, serving refined takes on British favourites alongside classic Indian dishes.
Fire-led cooking takes centre stage at the Firepit Stage, where Big Nath’s BBQ delivers live-fire dining built around ember-roasted dishes and bold, smoky flavours. Elsewhere, BrewDog’s Big Wing Weekend pairs craft beer from BrewDog with award-winning wings from Ginger Wings, offering a more playful take on festival dining.
For those seeking a quieter moment, The Speakeasy presented by Sofar Sounds provides an intimate setting for stripped-back performances, complete with soft lighting, shared boards and relaxed seating.

A Strong Music Line-Up
Sound Bites arrives with an impressive programme of live music and DJ performances. Highlights include a Friday night DJ set led by Sister Bliss of Faithless, joined by Denise van Outen, Laura Whitmore and Leigh Francis’s Record Club.
Saturday sees The Hoosiers perform in the afternoon, followed by Ricky Wilson hosting The Fabulous Adjustable Band in the evening, with special guests from Reef, Atomic Kitten and Ocean Colour Scene. Together, the line-up reflects the festival’s aim to balance nostalgia, contemporary culture and emerging talent.
Community at the Centre
Beyond food and music, Sound Bites places social impact at its core. A minimum of £10 from every ticket sold will be donated to Children with Cancer UK, helping to fund vital research and family support services.
The festival’s Heroes Stage, developed in partnership with the charity, gives children affected by cancer the chance to interview celebrity guests from sport, television and culture, creating moments of visibility, confidence and connection.
Chris Hughes, Co-Founder of Sound Bites, describes the event as the start of a new era of “food and music parties”, combining large-scale entertainment with genuine purpose. Gavin Maggs, Chief Executive of Children with Cancer UK, says the partnership reflects new ways of uniting supporters behind the charity’s mission.

A Social, Open-Air Experience
Set within the green surroundings of Syon Park, the festival is designed for easy movement and discovery. Guests can explore street food traders, cocktail and craft beer bars, shared tables and informal lounge areas, before returning to the main stages.
The layout encourages grazing, gathering and drifting between spaces, creating a relaxed atmosphere where food, music and conversation naturally overlap.
The Beginning of Something New
Sound Bites London marks the first chapter of a wider national programme, with future locations and editions planned across the UK. By combining chef-driven dining, live performance and charitable giving, the festival positions itself as more than a weekend event, offering a blueprint for how culture, community and entertainment can work together.
As it launches in Syon Park this May, Sound Bites promises a fresh addition to London’s festival calendar, where great food, great music and a meaningful cause come together in one shared experience.
