British interiors platform The Roost has unveiled its new Visualiser Tool, an interactive room-planning feature designed to change how customers shop for their homes online.

Created to bridge the gap between inspiration and confident purchasing, the Visualiser allows users to recreate their own rooms digitally, experiment with layouts, and see products in context before committing to a purchase. Positioned as the first tool of its kind within British interior design retail, it marks a significant step forward in how consumers engage with homeware online.

The Roost

Using the platform, customers can build a virtual version of their space by entering dimensions, selecting wall and floor finishes, and adding architectural features such as windows and doors. From there, furniture, rugs, lighting, and accessories from The Roost’s curated collection can be dragged and placed into the room in real time.

Designs can be saved, shared, and added directly to basket, creating a seamless journey from concept to checkout. By helping users understand proportion, layout, and colour combinations before purchasing, the tool aims to reduce uncertainty and significantly lower return rates.

A key launch partner for the Visualiser is Farrow & Ball, whose paints and wallpapers are now available on The Roost’s platform. Through the tool, customers can experiment with the brand’s signature colour palettes and patterns within their own room schemes, exploring scale, tone, and cohesion before ordering samples or making a purchase.

The Roost founder Will Plowden explains the thinking behind the innovation:

“Designing a home should be enjoyable, not stressful. The Visualiser reflects our mission to simplify the interiors process and give customers the confidence to make the right choices.”

The Roost

Founded as a platform showcasing the best of British furniture and homeware brands, The Roost has positioned itself as a destination for considered, high-quality interiors. The new Visualiser reinforces this approach by allowing customers to build room schemes to scale, adjust finishes, and test combinations before investing in key pieces.

Designed for first-time homeowners, renovators, and anyone refreshing a single room, the tool offers reassurance in a category where visualisation has traditionally been difficult online. By combining technology with curated design, The Roost is bringing greater clarity, creativity, and confidence to the home shopping experience.

With the launch of the Visualiser and the addition of Farrow & Ball to its offering, The Roost continues to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking interiors platforms.
