The First Female Athlete Owned Sneaker Company Is En-Route To Become The Fastest Selling in 50 years
...and Most Popular New Shoe Brand.
CEO of TRONUS, Santia Deck, is a history-making Female Professional American Footballer and Social Media Influencer with over 1 million loyal and engaged followers.
Santia Marie Deck was born in South Carolina and raised in Houston, Texas. She now resides in Atlanta and travels often. Since childhood, Santia has been running full speed after her dream of success. Now, she works tirelessly to inspire and empower young people and women around the world with her passion and determination.
Santia, 29, made history by becoming the highest-paid woman to play professional football, signing a multi-million-dollar deal with the WFLA in 2019. A year later, Santia made history again - becoming the first black female athlete to own her own sneaker company, TRONUS. She launched this history-making trainer brand in the UK and US in November 2020, which is 100% family owned with zero investors, and is targeting a worldwide release in 2021. Santia spent several years developing a sleek futuristic sneaker designed for the comfort of the feet of sneakerheads, creating an almost euphoric "walking on air" kind of experience. The hard work and dedication pay off as customers of all ages - including celebrity supporters - are becoming loyal TRONUS fans.
In addition to her recent accomplishments, Santia has signed a historic deal with Foot Locker Inc. subsidiary Eastbay in the USA. The internationally recognised sneaker outlet will be the first major retailer worldwide to feature TRONUS products. They are due to be released officially via Eastbay's website and available to consumers in the USA on 15th September 2021. The brand is also in talks to soon be available via select stores in North America and looking for strategic ways to bring the TRONUS shoes directly to their growing fanbase in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Santa Deck said:
“You're only as good as your team. As many companies everywhere, Covid-19 caused delays in the arrival of our 1st shipment, which was in late November, but our top-notch supply chain team helped us to successfully navigate through the many challenges and we were able to deliver to our customers in time for the holidays. Also, our first night taking pre-orders, our website crashed , but our IT team solved the issue, and we were back up and running quickly. We are grateful for the incredible team around us from our attorneys to interns and we have confidence that no matter what obstacles come our way, we will get through it together.”
Santia’s talents are by no means limited to the pitch: she is also a published author, a fitness model, TV personality, and a TV host. She has kept her fitness trainer certification and offers a variety of services to celebrity clients worldwide and her wide-ranging community of online supporters.
Santia Deck when asked about tips on becoming an effective leader in a competitive industry stated these are the crucial steps to help you along the way:
Know your own strengths and don't be afraid to stick to them.
Surround yourself with people who will cheer you on, support you and challenge you when you need it. Even if that circle is very small at first.
Being an active listener is crucial to effective leadership.
Lead by example!
She became a published author while studying at school in 2016 with ‘The Struggle’. As Santia gained a degree in English, she felt her passions lay elsewhere and set out to fight against the stigma of women competing in popular male sports. She has often expressed her desire to give young aspiring sports women a platform of strength and courage. Even after becoming a worldwide phenomenon, she claims to still receive negative comments across social media from men such as “you belong in the kitchen” and “leave real sports to men”. These comments have only fuelled her determination and resilience as her star has grown.
Growing up, she trained religiously with her brothers, unaware that she was moulding herself to become the highest-paid female American Footballer. Now, she is the first woman in history to sign a multi-million-dollar deal with the WFLA. She has made headlines around the world as a powerful role model to young budding female athletes.
Household names such as Serena Williams and Rihanna have had collaborations with internationally recognised brands such as Puma and Nike. Santia and her team hope to raise the bar by building an industry-leading brand themselves with a Black woman at the helm . . . not just at the table.
