The Mayfair Chippy x Sipsmith Unveil ‘Gin-ius’ Menu for World Gin Day

London’s finest fish.…with gin? Yes, you heard right! Authentic, luxury ‘chip shop’, The Mayfair Chippy, unveils a ‘gin-credible’ gastronomic collaboration with award-winning distiller, Sipsmith, to celebrate World Gin Day.

These two iconic London brands have joined forces to create an exciting, one-of-a-kind menu, adding a delicious catch to the Capital’s culinary haul. The dishes combine the best British fish cuisine, which The Mayfair Chippy is renowned for, with the smooth, distinct flavours only Sipsmith can conjure.



The celebration launches with an exclusive ‘Seaweed V.J.O.P Gin & Tonic’. This gin-based masterpiece (priced £12.50 if guests order separately from the World Gin Day special menu) features a standout blend of Sipsmith's V.J.O.P, dashed with seaweed bitter, for its salty notes. This is balanced perfectly with classic tonic mixer and garnished with a sprig of samphire and a grapefruit twist or wedge for that instant fresh ‘by-the-sea’ hit.


The starter features succulent 'Sipsmith Cured Salmon’ served with a refreshing and zingy English cucumber salad, Cornish yoghurt, and preserved lemon.


The main course brings a taste of the sea with ‘Pan Roasted Atlantic Cod cooked to perfection. It is served in a Sipsmith infused, rich velouté, alongside sweet, plump cockles & shrimps, a moreish herb mash, and finished with a hint of aniseed with a drizzle of tarragon oil.


Rounding off the epicurean voyage is a playful ‘Gin & Tonic Trifle’, featuring a tantalising combination of tangy lemon & Sipsmith curd, tart raspberries, and fragrant elderflower jelly.
