There are burgers, and then there are moments. The sort of culinary occasions that arrive with a sense of purpose, neatly timed to land just when we’re all looking for something worth talking about. This August, in honour of National Burger Day, ZULA — London’s street-food inspired burger house — has teamed up with the small-batch firebrand Dr Sting’s Hot Honey to create exactly that.
The result? The Thai Honey Burger. A stack that doesn’t just feed, but commands attention.

Crafted by ZULA’s founder and Executive Chef, Cihan Kipcak, the burger takes familiar Thai flavour notes — ginger, coriander, lime — and sharpens them into something bold. A custom fiery sauce is at its core, slicked with lime mayonnaise and given a sweet-yet-dangerous lift by Dr Sting’s Hot Honey. Cheese melts into the heat, and everything is encased in ZULA’s signature brioche bun, baked fresh each morning. It’s not just a burger; it’s theatre in two halves: heat and honey.

For those unfamiliar with Dr Sting’s, the name is fast becoming one of Britain’s cult condiments. The creation of chef Ben Lippett and designer Jamie Kaye, the hot honey was inspired by Brooklyn’s piquant nectar trend, but re-engineered for a UK palate. Made in small batches using 100% blossom honey, organic chillies and quality apple cider vinegar, it’s the sort of bottle that once tried, tends to migrate permanently into your fridge door.
The Thai Honey Burger makes its debut on National Burger Day, 21st August, and runs for just ten days until 31st August, available daily from 12pm to 5pm. At £10.50, it’s the kind of indulgence designed not just to satisfy an appetite, but to soundtrack the late-summer bank holiday with something memorable.

This isn’t just another burger drop — it’s a celebration of spice, sweetness, and a little bit of sting.
