Balthazar Unveils Olympic-Inspired Culinary Extravaganza
Balthazar - Covent Garden’s iconic French brasserie - is delighted to announce the arrival of its limited-edition menu available from Friday, 26 July until Sunday, 11 August, just in time for the Paris Olympics. To celebrate the summer of sport, guests will be able to enjoy a limited-edition culinary extravaganza taking inspiration from the five continents taking part in the world-famous games.
The Olympic-themed menu promises to take diners on a global culinary journey, with each dish celebrating unique flavours and culinary traditions. The limited edition menu includes five exclusive dishes inspired by the five Olympic rings. Featuring Entrecote Steak Baguette (£19.50) with Roscoff onions, baby spinach, and Dijon mustard mayonnaise, paired perfectly with French fries, Pan-Seared Chicken Supreme (£23.50), with thyme and cumin braised leeks, grain mustard velouté and toasted flaked almonds. The Monterey Jack Beef Burger (£19.50), layered with Monterey cheese, smashed avocado, chipotle sauce, and Cajun fries is certain to be a showstopper along with the Fillet of Cod (£24), expertly baked in banana leaf and served with yuzu pickled fennel, pak choi and caramelised lime or a Lamb Tagine (£23.00), with slow braised lamb, apricots and spices, served alongside roasted lemon-infused basmati rice. There is sure to be something for everyone.
Guests are also invited to join in the Olympic spirit with cocktails including the 'Golden Martini (£12.00), created from a tantalising blend of vodka, vanilla, honey, pineapple, and lemon, a ‘Silver Sling’ (£13.50), crafted with tequila, raspberry, pomegranate, orange, and soda. The limited edition ‘Bronze Old Fashioned’ (£15.00), with cognac, rye whiskey, orange, and chocolate.
