Let Provence come to you this summer: Gin XII UK launch

A trip to Provence may be off the cards for most this summer, but the UK launch of Gin XII by Distilleries & Domaines de Provence goes someway to soften the blow of ongoing travel disruptions. This premium handcrafted dry gin gets its name from the 12 botanicals it contains, and its flavours evoke distinct images of one of France’s most popular destinations.

Make mine a XII

Gin XII is now available in the UK. Imported by Emporia Brands, who have worked with Distilleries et Domaines de Provence for many years. It is available via Masters of Malt for £39.95.

Imbibed in history

Gin XII accords great respect to the terroir whence it came: the botanicals herbs used are carefully selected and most of them are handpicked around Forcalquier, the citadel town where the gin is distilled in Haute-Provence. The town has been home to Distilleries & Domaines de Provence since 1898, and they have been making Provencal aperitifs and liqueurs there ever since.

Provence on the palate

Gin XII expresses its Haute-Provence terroir through the subtle blend of herbs such as thyme, rosemary, basil, eucalyptus, sweet almond and mint, which join forces with small juniper berries. A dry gin with a rich, authentic taste, born of a long period of research and reflection, Gin XII features fresh, minty, floral, slightly spicy notes, with a beautifully lingering finish. The harmonious balance of ingredients gives Gin XII its generous and singular character, and its versatility. Gin XII can be enjoyed straight, with tonic or in a cocktail.

La vie est belle, and so is Gin XII

Gin’s XII beautifully finished bottle is capped with white lacquered Vinolok glass lid to ensure it is perfectly preserved. Typical of the personality-full brands of Distilleries et Domaines de Provence, Gin XII is a perfect addition to their family of aperitifs & liqueurs.
