Ten years is a long time in London dining. Restaurants come and go, scenes flare up and fade, but a few names manage to etch themselves into the city’s cultural rhythm. Sexy Fish is one of them. This autumn the Mayfair institution celebrates a decade of high voltage glamour with a one night anniversary party and an exclusive menu that looks back on its story so far while offering a taste of what is still to come.

The anniversary falls on Thursday 25 September and the restaurant has lined up a party that promises to match the mythology of its past. Partnering with Don Julio Tequila, the night will be headlined by Roger Sanchez, a name synonymous with house music at its most hedonistic. Expect the kind of live performances and electric atmosphere that defined Sexy Fish as more than just a place to eat. It has always been a destination for those who wanted their nights turned up to the maximum.

For many though, the real headline act of this celebration is the Anniversary X Menu. Running until the end of October, the menu revisits some of the dishes that defined the restaurant’s launch back in 2015, now refined for a new era. There is the Black Cod Croquette with Yuzu and Aji Amarillo Dip, a playful bite that balances nostalgia with the precision of a decade’s worth of craft. The King Crab and Bone Marrow with Truffle Lime Butter is indulgence personified, a dish that underlines Sexy Fish’s commitment to excess as an art form. The Iberico Pork Shoulder with Truffle Mayo and Watercress carries the depth and richness that guests have come to expect, a dish that is both rooted in heritage and unashamedly contemporary.

Sexy Fish has always been a paradox of sorts. It is decadent but never outdated, theatrical yet deeply serious about food. In an industry where trends are fleeting, the restaurant’s ability to stay relevant while still feeling untouchably exclusive is no small achievement. The past decade has seen waves of imitators but the original continues to set the pace.

As the restaurant marks its tenth year, the celebration is more than just a party or a nostalgic menu. It is a statement that Sexy Fish is still London’s most unapologetic playground, where the boundaries between dining, nightlife and spectacle blur into one. Ten years on and the promise remains the same — come for the food, stay for the night, leave with a story.
